Since its beginning, Wayne First: The Campaign for Wayne State University has been a catalyst for change. Many of the funding objectives established at the campaign’s outset have been met, transforming the campus landscape and stimulating curricular and research activities that amplify Wayne State’s reputation as a world-class institution.
Now, the countdown begins. As we continue the final phase of Wayne First, we are accelerating our efforts to secure gifts and pledges from alumni and friends to help us realize our unmet goals. During the next several months, we are taking the campaign on a tour of events to share the Wayne First message with a wider audience and engage those willing to invest in the university.
Where better to start than in our own backyard?
We invite you to join us as we celebrate the campaign’s remarkable success to date and help set the stage for a brighter tomorrow. Following are upcoming events being held in February 2008 in the metropolitan Detroit area.
Each event will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. and include a strolling reception showcasing irresistible culinary selections, a brief program featuring remarks from fellow Wayne State alumni and an inspiring presentation of a new video, Making Wayne First.
